Every woman wants to feel feminine and beautiful. But, it’s not about who views you that way, it’s about you viewing yourself in that manner. Everyone makes mistakes, some people’s are bigger than others. But, in the end, no matter how bad you think your life may be, or how much you may have fallen off the rope, you are still beautiful. At least in His eyes, and that counts more than anything else in the world.

I pray that every woman can understand her value and her worth. Then, she won’t settle for crumbs, when she is meant to have a beautiful, whole, loaf of bread. Here’s to being feminine and beautiful, no matter who thinks you are or aren’t.

I’m rushing to write this post, because it’s late, and I need to go and help get the kids ready for bed. Not that little princess is actually going to go to bed soon. Most nights, she sits in my lap as I type away or sitting in her swing while I try to finish up chores.

I’m so glad that it’s Friday. I love the weekends. I can kind of relax and enjoy being with my family, since everyone will be home. I’m definitely going to try to do some organizing in the morning to start my day with an accomplishment, and then I can kind of work here and there throughout the day.

Have a great weekend!

I’m a southern girl, born and bred in Georgia. In college, many of my friends were from the northeast, and they said that I acted like a southern belle. I never considered myself a southern belle, but, I guess that I am. There’s no shame in being a southern belle. Yesterday, I discovered a great blog written by a fellow young southern woman, who is also a former teacher like me. Her blog is www.hersoutherncharm.blogspot.com . I love her blog. I was inspired by learning about a young woman who is devoted to being a housewife.

I attended Emory University, and majored in English. After graduation, I became a middle school English teacher. I taught for four years. I quit after having my son last year, and I’ve been a stay at home mom and freelance writer since that time. And, I love it!!

I have read and know of women who wake up around 5 a.m. every morning to start their day, help their husband’s off to work, and do some things around the house before the kids wake up. I wish, wish, wish, wish, that I could develop the discipline to wake up that early. I could get so much done!

But, my 4 month old doesn’t go to sleep until around 12:30/1 a.m. most nights. My son usually wakes up around 3 or 4 every night, and by the time 5 or 6 rolls around, I just can’t manage to get out of the bed to get work done. Even though I know that I need to. I set my alarm every morning, but I just roll over, look at my phone, and turn the alarm off. It’s so sad. I have to do better. I have a much smoother, more productive day when I wake up before the kids and get work around the house and writing done.

There’s hope for tomorrow. Maybe I will succeed . . .

Being a mother is a beautiful gift from God. It’s a wonderful blessing to have children and raise, train, and nurture them. It can also be incredibly taxing, and you need to keep your spiritual garden watered daily with the Word of God and continual prayers.

Prayers to remain patient, to train properly, to be a good example, to speak kind words, and to be unselfish. It can be so easy to get caught up in getting “me” time, and that mainly leads to frustration with the kids, because they are crowding your time for yourself. I encourage all mothers to take a deep breath, utter a prayer, and speak with kindness.

I have been working on decluttering my home, and I feel so great!! I have a knack for letting piles of paper accumulate. Old bills, notes, mail that I need to discard, etc. I have tried to focus on cleaning different sections of my room, to throw out what I don’t need. And, it’s so therapeutic!

I feel like a burden has been lifted off of me, to get rid of all of this paper that I don’t need. I’m also organizing my papers so that they are easy to find and right where they need to be. Cleanliness leads to clarity of mind. When you clear away the clutter, you can think clearly. You can be more organized and proficient.

If you’re feeling a bit disorganized or out of control, try cleaning and organizing. It does wonders for making you feel better, and having a clean, orderly home gives me a wonderful sense of peace.

Today I wore a dress and high heels to church today, and I loved it. I felt feminine and pretty, and I enjoy feeling that way. I have an affinity towards wearing dresses, because they make me feel ultra feminine and pretty.

Since returning to church after having the baby, I have mainly been wearing pantsuits, because I didn’t have stockings to wear with my dresses, or appropriate shoes. But, I forgot a pair of high heels that I had up in my closet, and I finally purchased some stockings. So, I felt great today looking nice and feminine, and my daughter looked so cutesy in her little dress and patent leather baby shoes.

We had a great time at church, and I was inspired by the message on living out your purpose.

2008 has been a pretty good year for me. I gave birth to my precious baby girl, who is almost 4 months old. My son turned one in September. My health and strength and that of my family’s is good. I have gained greater insight into earning money from home. I have greater determination to make my freelance writing career grow and grow, so that I can get out of debt.

2009 will be a great year for me, I know. I claim that I will erase at least half of my debt. I will continue to grow as a wife and mother, nurturing my children the way that I should, and training them the way that I should. I will be a better homemaker; cleaning more and cooking more. In a nutshull, I’m leaning towards being a more fabulous me. Happy New Year everyone!!
